DRESDEN: A new visitor’s tax in the capital state of Saxony

From 1 February 2014 tourists and business travellers have to pay EUR 1.30 per day. Arrival and departure day will count as one day. The visitor’s tax is valid for all guests as of 18 years. Longstay guests have to pay the first 30 days, only. This tax has to be paid in the lodging establishment, directly. Business travellers have the possibility to refund the paid visitor’s tax.
